A name poem for ST Jordi.

We’ve started this 3rd term dealing with adjectives to describe feelings with our students from 2^nd ESO.

I was thinking about doing something different and meaningful to them when I came up with the idea to tell 2S3 students how wonderful they are. Eventually, the idea became much more interesting as long they could tell each other how great they were so as to create a good class atmosphere.

I took their photographs from our website, put them in bag, shuffle them and asked the students to pick up a picture. As soon as they got their partner’s name, they looked up for suitable adjectives to describe them in order to make a visual poem with their names. They were expected to use colours, printed letters, pictures…… they had to be ORIGINAL!

We hanged the poem in their classroom for a week and afterwards they kept the ones with their own names.

What is special about going out in New York?

I mean, if you just look at "Sex in the City," you can see how (3) funny / fun it is to go out because you have people from all over the city, from artists and writers, and in a Mecca of entertainment, you never know who you're going to (4)bump /run into or meet. It works similarly to LA in that they want to keep the people outside so that it seems like it's really exclusive.

It probably is, and it's very good to know the door people and to know the venue owner or promoter.

.If you are a guy, take out your wallet because you're probably going to be using it to get in.

2nd ESO: Quick project

Our American pals asked us to take part in a project saying a given sentence in different languages. Since Our mother tongue is Catalan we helped them with our collaboration.
Here you can find the short videos we recorded.

On the first one we have Anna Codina, Lidia Banús, Paula Font and Mari Pau Calm saying the quote in Spanish. Coral Descamps, Ariadna Barris, Alba Jofre and Marc Massegu in Catalan and finally Jasmeet Kaur, Lovepreet Kaur and Carolina Aguilera say the quote in English.


On the second one we have Claudia Vilarrassa, Aida Parejo and Paula Rivas saying the quote in Spanish. Paula Vergés, Sergi Picart, Pau Riera and Ricard Russinyol in Catalan and finally Eric Yagüe, Gurdeep Sing and Marc Sau say the quote in English.
